Personal tax planning & preparation

You're busy building your business and living your life.
Let me handle the taxes.

I work with small business owners, Americans living overseas, and anyone with real complexity in their finances — people working hard who don't have the bandwidth to also become tax experts. I explain things in plain English, plan ahead to lower what you owe, and take the guesswork off your plate so tax season stops feeling like a threat.

Already dealing with this? Already running a business without real tax planning behind it? Already filing on your own with software that doesn't quite fit your situation? Or already dealing with foreign income, accounts, or citizenship you didn't know required extra filing? It happens more often than you'd think — and it's fixable.

Why this gets complicated

A whole world fits inside your tax return.

US individual taxes are complex because they have to account for everything: every situation you're in, every law that could apply, and everything the IRS wants to know about you. A lot of people think, "I just want to file my personal taxes," and assume their business is a separate thing entirely. But for most small businesses, the business is part of your individual return. I help you navigate all of it — from one business owner to another.

Own a business, even a small one, in the US or abroad? Size doesn't matter to the IRS — a foreign business requires detailed yearly reporting no matter how small, and I'll handle it personally.

More going on than a W-2? Freelance income, K-1s, stock options, rental property — don't want to risk getting it wrong on self-guided software? Let me handle it.

Want a real plan? Most preparers only think about your taxes once a year. I'd rather be someone you check in with year-round.

Tired of getting handed a number with no explanation? You should understand why you owe what you owe — and have had a say in it long before it showed up.

Living abroad? Your US tax filing doesn't stop when you relocate — you're still taxed on worldwide income.

Invested in foreign funds, accounts, or property? Everyday foreign investments can be taxed differently than US ones, so it's worth a second look.

Born abroad to an American parent, or hold a green card? You're expected to file as a US person either way, wherever you live.

Inherited money or property from overseas? You may need to report it, even if it's not taxed, and even if you live in the US.

The point isn't to scare you off. It's to make sure the exciting part — where you live, what you build, what you own — isn't quietly undone by a filing problem nobody warned you about.

Small business owners

Run a business? You want a real partner in it.

  • A personal, ongoing relationship — the same person, every time
  • US-based or foreign-registered businesses (Form 5471, GILTI/NCTI as needed)
  • Quarterly check-ins and planning throughout the year
  • Entity structuring guidance before you incorporate or expand
Americans abroad

Living overseas doesn't mean losing your US advisor

  • Still taxed on worldwide income — FBAR, FATCA, and the rest
  • Foreign investments, pensions, and inherited assets
  • Accidental Americans and green card holders welcome
  • Streamlined filing for anyone who's fallen behind
More than a W-2

You want someone who can handle real complexity

  • Freelance income, K-1s, RSUs, and stock options
  • Rental property and multiple income streams
  • Real planning ahead of the year, before decisions get made
  • A direct line to the person actually doing your taxes
Why work with me

This isn't advice from a textbook. It's advice from someone who's run her own business and lived the compliance herself.

I've owned and run a business abroad since 2018. I know what it's like to discover a filing obligation years after it started — and what it takes to get current without losing sleep over it. I don't just hand you a number and let you deal with the reaction. I walk you through why it is what it is, and I look for ways to bring it down before the year ends, not after. If numbers make your eyes glaze over, that's exactly why I'm here — you don't need to understand the tax code, you just need someone who does, and who's on your side.

How I work

Taxes, explained — not just filed.

01

Plain English, always

You'll never get a number with no explanation behind it. I walk you through what it means and why, in language that makes sense — no jargon, no judgment if this has never clicked for you before.

02

Planning, not just filing

We look for ways to lower what you owe throughout the year, not just report it every April. By the time your return is due, there shouldn't be any surprises left in it.

03

One less thing on your plate

You're busy running your business or your life. Taxes shouldn't be the thing keeping you up at night — that's what I'm here for, so you don't have to carry it alone.
